BJJ Tournament Information

Military members with orders to go overseas are entitled to a full refund if they can provide a copy of their orders.

Otherwise, no refunds will be given at any time for any reason.

You can receive a credit/voucher for a future event for any reason until 12:00 pm on the Friday before the event by logging into your www.smoothcomp.com account and canceling your registration.

You do not need to contact the office to receive or use your credit/voucher.

Vouchers are valid at any of our events nationwide.

Vouchers will not be issued after the event for any reason.

Spectator tickets are non-refundable but can be used for any future CXBJJ event.

Weigh-ins will take place on the day of the event.

You must weigh-in 60 minutes prior to your division. If you are late for weigh-ins, you will be disqualified, and no voucher or refund will be given. Consequently, please consider drive time, traffic, and time to find parking, as these will not be valid reasons for missing weigh-ins.

You do have to weigh in with your Gi on.

You only have to weigh in once, even if participating in multiple divisions.

We have a 2-pound allowance policy.

Competitors 12 years of age and older that do not make weight will be disqualified and no refund or voucher will be given.

For competitors 11 years of age and under who do not make weight, we will do our best to accommodate and move into a new bracket.

This is not guaranteed. If there are no available matches, we will provide a voucher for future use, but no refunds will be given.

You can access a full list of competitors by selecting the event you are interested in and clicking on the Registrations tab.

This is a real-time list that updates automatically as competitors register.

You can make changes to your registration until 11:59 pm on the day of the final registration deadline (Tuesday prior to the event).

Log into your www.smoothcomp.com account to make any necessary changes.

If the final registration deadline passes and you do not like where you are bracketed, you can cancel your registration before 12:00 pm on the Friday prior to the event and receive a credit for a future event.

Brackets and the event schedule will be posted on the Thursday prior to the event.

You can access these by selecting the event you are interested in and clicking on the Brackets & Schedule tab.

A real-time schedule by bracket and real-time schedule by match order will be featured on large TV monitors at the event, allowing you access to the most up to date information available.

During the event, you will be able to access this information from your mobile device.

Competitors must be in the competitor bullpen 15 minutes prior to your match time.

Waiting on coaches not only holds up a single competitor’s match but has a domino effect on the rest of the event. It is for this reason that we will no longer wait on coaches to finish at one mat before beginning a match at another. Please keep this in mind when planning on the number of coaches to bring to each event.

Coaches’ passes will be provided free of charge depending on the number of competitors from your school.

• 3-10 competitors: 2 coaches’ passes
• 11-15 competitors: 3 coaches’ passes
• 16-20 competitors: 4 coaches’ passes
• 21+ competitors: 5 coaches’ passes

One coach per competitor, regardless of age, is allowed inside the competition area.

Results are REAL-TIME and will be automatically posted on the TV monitor at the awards booth beside the podium as well as on the event page.

Team Awards: Youth, Adult, and Overall

• 1st Place receives: Custom trophy
• 2nd Place receives: Custom trophy
• 3rd Place receives: Custom trophy
• Best Overall receives: Team trophy (only 1 trophy per team, per event)

Individual Awards

• 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners will receive a custom medal in gold, silver, and bronze

Awards are subject to change per event and at the discretion of event management.
